The tenth week again delivered, with a huge upset for the Bills proving the 'any given Sunday' saying that attracts so many fans into the NFL
This outcome could have created things up for the Patriots to move back into a top spot they used to occupy, with a remaining games that gives them an advantage over their 8-2 rivals
Meanwhile in the NFC the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had perfect results to set up a monster clash in week 11, while our top performer is pursuing milestones as well as the Most Valuable Player award
The Breakdown - Just a Bad Day for Buffalo?
Could it simply have been an emotional comedown from defeating Kansas City last week or a deeper issue? That's the question for the Bills to address
The Buffalo squad had secured seven victories in a row against Miami but were second best from the start as the Dolphins emerged as 30-13 victors in an eye-opening outcome - and performance
MVP quarterback Josh Allen only got the team's opening first down in the third quarter and initial scoring in the fourth - admittedly Miami had 10 days to get ready but it was nonetheless a massive egg laid by one of the NFL's best offenses
Tua Tagovailoa threw two scores but rusher Achane was the game-changing factor, with 225 combined yards and two scores
Bottling up the league's best running game was also key, with James Cook and teammates registering just 86 yards, their lowest of the year and just over half their 161.5 yard average
Additionally there were the three crucial turnovers, and the pair from Josh Allen in particular. An pass caught by defense in the scoring area resulting in a nine minute possession yielded no points, and his fourth-quarter dropped ball that Miami converted to seven points just later
It was typical 'previous Bills teams' as they shot themselves in the foot, getting into a hole on defensive side and Allen trying to do too much to dig his team from the situation - not the calm, disciplined, balanced Buffalo team we've seen this season
The Dolphins have served up a bit of everything this season so the jury's out on whether this is the beginning of something, but for the Bills they'll need an immediate bounce-back in a difficult matchup against Tampa Bay in week 11 as the Patriots are sneaking into a comfortable advantage at the top of the AFC East
Spotlight - Patriots See Path to Unexpected First Place
Speaking of the Patriots, they're one of three 8-2 teams in the NFL, all American Football Conference sides, but could they be the top team?
One could pick holes in the Patriots, Denver and Indianapolis actually for dominating the lesser sides, with just five of their combined 24 wins coming against teams with a winning record - and one example was the Colts beating the Denver
Denver beat the champion Eagles in Philly and are kings of the fourth-quarter while Indy can ride Jonathan Taylor, but the Patriots including Sunday's victory in Tampa to their prime time win in Buffalo appears to be a statement
Their pair of losses came in new head coach Mike Vrabel's first three contests, with seven consecutive wins, just like Denver, since then - but defeating Mayfield after the Bucs had a week off to get ready was significant
Maye's MVP claims won't go away, and he certainly deserves point for courage after taking some hard tackles in Tampa but persevering to steer his side to success
The defensive unit is solid and first-year rusher Henderson burst onto the scene on game day with 147 yards and two exhilerating scores of 55 and 69 yards - establishing himself as just the fifth ball carrier to break 22mph this year on his first score
While you can debate who 'the top team' is technically, the Patriots should be favourites to finish with the top record thanks to their schedule - which features just a single matchup against a winning team, albeit a significant contest against Buffalo
Traveling to the Ravens is also tough, but Denver have it even tougher in the AFC West division with the Kansas City to face two times, the Los Angeles Chargers (who might also challenge for first place but face the same problem) and also the Packers on the fixture list
The Colts also face the Chiefs, and have the Seattle, San Francisco and two matchups with the 5-4 Jaguars to face. There is a considerable distance to go but the door is available for a surprise top seed in the AFC
Coming Up - Rams & Seahawks Prepare for Next Week Showdown
Two teams with solid claims to be better than all of the three eight and two sides are NFC West rivals the Seahawks and Los Angeles, who each scored forty points to go to 7-2 ahead of the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster meeting between the pair in Los Angeles
Both have won four in a consecutive games, have quarterbacks in Stafford and Sam Darnold playing at an elite level (although Darnold had ball security problems on game day) with excellent pass catchers, and defenses giving up fewer than twenty points a game
Both could realistically be undefeated as well - particularly the Los Angeles as their pair of losses occurred in extra time against the San Francisco and then that painful defeat in Philadelphia when they had a potentially winning kick with the last kick blocked and returned by the Eagles for a score
The Seahawks also lost to the 49ers, with a last-minute score in week one, before losing to the last kick of the contest against the Tampa Bay - so they're genuinely among the top teams in the NFL
The next matchup on Sunday could be the best of the year to date
Top Performer - Jonathan Taylor
Taylor could be on for a record season after his remarkable performance in Germany - running for 244 rushing yards, scoring three scores and adding another 42 {receiving yards
