White House Decries 'Democratic Fabrication' as Further Jeffrey Epstein Images Disclosed
House Democrats have made public a additional set of what they termed "alarming" photographs from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The opening batch of 19 photographs—a portion of which have been seen before—combined with another 70 released later on Friday account for a small number of the approximately 100,000 images handed over to the House oversight committee, which is probing the actions and ties of Epstein.
The fallen money manager was a victim of an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being charged with sex-trafficking crimes.
Prominent Personalities in the Photos
Featured among the high-profile individuals seen in the first release are public figures such as film director Woody Allen; Microsoft founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin business group.
Donald Trump is featured in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is pictured with six women, whose faces are obscured.
White House Statement
The White House reacted to the release in a statement, accusing Democrats of selectively "cherry-picking" the pictures for partisan aims and to "attempt to fabricate a false narrative."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," a presidential representative stated, maintaining that "the Trump administration has achieved more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats have ever done by consistently demanding openness, releasing reams of records, and demanding more inquiries into Epstein's Democratic associates."
Panel Member Comment
The images were disclosed devoid of explanation, but as stated by a Democratic representative from California and ranking member of the oversight committee, they raise more questions about Epstein's connections to affluent people.
"Now is the occasion to stop this White House obfuscation and secure justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends," he said in a comment.
The release of these images coincides with the House panel continuing its investigation into the Epstein matter.
